沖縄諸島から採集されたオオオキナガニ(ケブカガニ科)について

前之園唯史

Abstract / Introduction / Summary:

A female specimen of pilumnid species was collected from Sesoko Island of the Ryukyu Islands, Japan, which was firstly identified as “Heteropilumnus longipes” in previous Japanese literature. In the recent study, this species was then reidentified as Pseudolitochira crinita (type locality: Papua New Guinea), despite the fact that morphological features of the species were different from the holotype of P. crinita. Those features rather matched well with the original description of Heteropilumnus longisetum (type locality: Western Australia). Moreover, this Australian species has been placed in the genus Heteropilumnus, however in this study, it was transferred to Pseudolitochira due to the original description of the species and morphological features of the specimen examined.
