Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
Edateku-jima Island belongs to the Amami Islands, Central Ryukyus, Japan. Ninety-six ant species have been recorded from the Amami Islands, but no species from Edateku-jima Island. Ant collection on Edateku-jima Island was carried out by the Kagoshima University Museum in 2018, and ten species in nine genera were collected from the island.
