Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
A male specimen of a sesarmid crab belonging to the genus Chiromantes was collected from Tanegashima Island in the Osumi Group, Northern Ryukyus. Previous records of C. haematocheir from this region required re-examination. In this study, the specimen was closely examined and identified as C. haematocheir, as stated previously.
