Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
Antecaridina lauensis (Edmondson, 1935) is reported for the first time from Yoronjima Island, central Ryukyus, Japan, on the basis of the specimen collected from an anchialine cave on the island. This species was previously known only from the islands of Tokuno-shima and Okinoerabujima in Kagoshima Prefecture, so this report is the third habitat record of A. lauensis from the prefecture.
