Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
A single male specimen of varunid crab, Sestrostoma depressum (Sakai, 1965), was collected from the Satsuma Peninsula, Kagoshima Prefecture, southern Japan. The present specimen represents the first record of the species from the mainland of Kagoshima Prefecture.
