Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
Two species of land crabs are reported from Yoron Island in the central Ryukyu Islands of Japan: Cardisoma carnifex (Herbst, 1796) and Epigrapsus politus Heller, 1862. This is the first record of E. politus on the island. Brief notes on the habitats of these species are also provided.
