Abstract / Introduction / Summary:

A pyramidellid mollusk species was recorded from rocky or estuary seashore sediment of Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures: Syrnola crocata (A. Adams in G. B. Sowerby II, 1865). Soft parts of living specimens were also photographed. This species is characterized by flat whorl edges, brown periostracum, a single strong columellar fold and several inner spiral ribs.
