Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
Seasonal change in populations of Meretrix spp.
(possibly M. lamarckii) was investigated in the
intertidal zone at Wakimoto Beach, Akune City from February to October 2023. They were distributed at middle and low intertidal areas mainly lower than the mean sea level throughout the year. It is thought that they recruit in summer in the subtidal zone and move to the intertidal, because juveniles smaller than 10 mm in shell length were sampled in September and
October in this study.
