Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
Gecarcoidea lalandii H. Milne Edwards, 1837 is reported for the first time from Yoron Island, Ryukyu Islands, Japan, on the basis of a single male specimen collected from the limestone coast of the island. In Kagoshima Prefecture, this species was previously known only from Amami-oshima Island, and the present report is therefore the second distribution record of G. lalandii in the prefecture.
