Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
A pyramidellid mollusk species of the genus Tiberia Jeffreys, 1884 was recorded from Wakanoura, Wakayama prefecture and another from some other waters of Japan. Tiberia pulchella (A. Adams, 1854) and the other have simillar conical shells, but differ from each other by the presence of internal tooth-like ribs. These two may be confused in many Japanese guide books of seashells. A living specimen of the latter was photographed.
