Abstract / Introduction / Summary:
Three specimens of Thysanophrys celebica (Platycephalidae), having previously been recorded from the Pacific coast of central Honshu, Shikoku, and the southern Ryukyu Islands in Japanese waters, were collected from Uchinoura Bay on the eastern Osumi Peninsula and Kagoshima Bay of Kagoshima Prefecture, southern Kyushu, Japan. The specimens were described herein as the first records of the species from Kyushu.
